Think of what makes YOU happy.

It’s important to remember the good times, what you’re good at, what makes you happy and what keeps you going. Here’s one little activity that is proven to boost your self-esteem and increase positivity.

For me, it was music

“I would listen to music on the radio a lot as a child and young person. I also played lots of ‘feel good’ music on cassette tapes and sang in front of the mirror. I would write poetry initially and then started to write songs. This got me through some of the difficult times.” ~ Roxana Rudzik-Shaw (@RRS_counselling)

Some of my face-to-face and online clients have used a similar idea to ‘My Happy List’. A few have informed me that’s it’s nice to keep a mini version in their wallet/purse as a keep-sake if times get a bit tough, and others write words or doodle on theirs, then get a laminated copy on their fridge where they can see it everyday.

Be inspired. Have a go…

Let me know what you think.

All the best,
